There’s a lull in the crowd in the student activity building, during one of the Winter Park live broadcasts, but not for long. The WBFH remote booth was upstairs, tucked away from the otherwise packed concession area.
WBFH, through its streaming capabilities, can be hear all over the world. Andria Johnson (left) and her brother, Joey Scholze show off their Biffwear while listening from their home in Sparta, Wisconsin. Andria and Joey happen to be related to Station Manager Ronald Wittebols. That explains the swag...
Beloved WBFH icon, The BIFFalo, sits at the Main Street station booth during 2023 Black Hawk Fever on Friday, January 27. WBFH, along with other student groups and organizations, filled the hallway with all kinds of neat displays and participation opportunities.

On Friday, September 8, WBFH provided the musical atmosphere for the Senior Sunrise which kicked off the new school year. Grant Dobbie, WBFH student general manager, served as station representative to the student council, which organized the event.
The seniors provided a nifty banner.
The view from the newly-renovated baseball field. The turnout was quite impressive, considering the early hour of the event. Most seniors showed up between 6:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.
Station Manager Ron Wittebols attended a private radio reunion on Saturday, September 30 and crossed paths with two Biff alums! Ever the clown, Ron poses sternly with (left) Jennifer Purtan (Andover ’79) and JoAnne Purtan (Andover ’87), both broadcast industry veterans.
Oliver Ellenson, new to staff during the fall 2023 semester, didn’t have a photo to share for his bio page, so Station Advisor Danielle Tier quickly snapped this one as he sat across from her at the work table. In a matter of seconds, Oliver had one of the coolest bio photos to ever grace this website!
Although it was a trying season for the Black Hawk Varsity Football team, as noted by the score of the last game above, The Biff carried the home games under the direction of Sports Director Anthony Doria with various staffers producing and voicing the game. Special shout-outs go to Grant Dobbie, Eugene Belski, Jaden Ryke, Kaden Kouyoumjian, Magdalena Leonard, Evie Keough, Sydney Fortner and Fallou Cisse.
